At AMAwuli Shule ya Sababu, engagement in challenging physical activity is a very important part of the educational pedagogy. In the frame of sport, children have an opportunity to grow through competition. Participation in competition nurtures the understanding that an individual is but a part of a greater whole and thus has the fundamental duty to prepare, contribute within a role, share in both the fruits of victories and the pain of lessons along with sacrifice. Above all, within the discipline of participation, the competitor will come to recognize the meaning of value-based exchanges and learn the effective management of this through the virtue of Usahihi (reciprocity).
Competitive athletic opportunities for our children begin at the age of 4 years old. All sporting disciplines at AMASS are for both general participation and being part of the school team. There are currently 3 sports for both male and female participation, namely: Football (soccer), Track and Field, and Cross Country.
The coaching staff at AMASS have achieved respectable levels of success in their discipline. Each coach and affiliate to the athletic department are committed to seeing to the healthy athletic development of our children, and as such, works diligently with a passion and desire to impart their knowledge.
We invite you to attend our various sports events and look forward to meeting you.
We are proud of all there is to learn and achieve, and we also know that those who engage will, one way or another, feel the STRENGTH OF THE HORNS…..kuleta!
